While the highest frequency of mutations was found in rrs gene, eis and whiB7 loci displayed novel mutations. The novel mutations displayed by eis and whiB7 loci were found to be associated specifically with the Kanamycin resistance as none of the twenty nine Kanamycin sensitive strains harbor them. The inclusion of novel mutations of eis and whiB7 loci will be useful in improving the specificity of future diagnostics. date: 2016-01 date_type: published publication: Tuberculosis (Edinburgh, Scotland) volume: 96 publisher: Elsevier Science pagerange: 96-101 refereed: TRUE issn: 1873-281X official_url: http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1472979215300639 citation: Kaur, Simerpreet and Rana, Vibhuti and Singh, Pooja and Trivedi, Garima and Anand, Shashi and Kaur, Amanpreet and Gupta, Pawan and Jain, Amita and Sharma, Charu (2016) Novel mutations conferring resistance to kanamycin in Mycobacterium tuberculosis clinical isolates from Northern India.
