title: Principal component analysis of the effect of in-flow disturbances on recombinant beta-gaglactosidase fermentation creator: Patnaik, P R subject: TP Chemical technology description: Principal component analysis (PCA) has been applied to the fed-batch fermentative production of recombinant beta-galactosidase to analyse the effect of inflow disturbances. Although the full model has nine time-dependent variables, PCA shows that five are sufficient to provide a good description of bioreactor dynamics for bath smooth and disturbed operations. The variables identified are physically plausible, and the reduced model predicts the original data with 95 % accuracy. date: 1997 type: Article type: PeerReviewed format: application/pdf identifier: http://crdd.osdd.net/open/765/1/pat97%28s2%29.pdf identifier: Patnaik, P R (1997) Principal component analysis of the effect of in-flow disturbances on recombinant beta-gaglactosidase fermentation.
