Registration to CRDD

One of the major challenges faced by OSDD team is to design sigle signon for all the modules/services/plateform on OSDD. This is very difficult task as OSDD modules/services are launch by different groups at different machines which are located at different institutes/places. One of the possible solution for this problem is OpenID where user can register once to get openid account (username and password). This account (username and password) can be used on any site or module of OSDD. Unfortunately standard OpenID package is very rigid and do not provide flexibility to store customize data. We modified standard OpenID software in order to make it is suitable for OSDD, where additional information is kept in MySQL tables.

In first phase we have make CRDD (Computational Resources for Drug Discovery) modules/services OpenID compaitable. This means, once you register and get account at CRDD registration, you will be able to login on CRDD modules like DrugPedia, IndiPedia and Discussion Forum . If this modules successful, we will extend this to other modules/services of OSDD.
