MethodA 50 mg/mL HFIP solution of Phe-Δphe added to 0.8 M sodium acetate buffer to get a final concentration between 0.2-1% w/v at pH 7. The mixture was then boiled in a boiling water bath for 15 min or in a microwave oven for 3 min and cooled back to room temperature to form gel.
