Mr. Arun Sharma

Objective ::

Development of computational resources and pipeline for predicting and designing therapeutic peptides. Prediction and optimization of peptide's properties (such as half-life, immunogenicity, toxicity, MIC, etc) that may help in designing highly drug-like peptides. Moreover, my objective is to remain abreast with the latest advances in Bioinformatics and best utilize biological, programming and analytical knowledge in a sound working environment.

Current Position::

Currently working as CSIR- Sr. Research Fellow at Open Source Drug Discovery (OSDD) Unit, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi, India.

Work Experience::

Served under the DBT sponsored project "Bioinformatics: Protein Engineering and Design". Worked as Project Assistant (Level . II) on DBT funded project entitled "Bioinformatics: Protein Engineering & Design" under the supervision of Dr. G. P. S. Raghava (Scientist and Head, Bioinformatics Centre, Institue of Microbial Technology, Sec- 39A, Chandigarh, India). He has developed a number of databases (using PHP and MySQL), SVM based prediction methods and therapeutic peptide designing tools/softwares.
