Capsaicin profoundly inhibited protein levels of AR.The reporter gene studies showed that capsaicin inhibited androgen activation of the AREs in the PSA regulatory region. Furthermore, reporter gene experiments revealed that even when AR was exogenously overexpressed in LNCaP cells.
