Students and researchers use a variety of softwares for analysing and visualising their experimental data for their academic and scientific pursuits. OSDD-Linux is an attempt to provide biologists, bioinformatician, cheminformaticians with a user friendly infrastucture wherein freely open-source softwares are preinstalled on a Linux platform.
Softwares related to bioinformatics from different versions of Linux like BioLinux, DNALinux, Open Discovery, Vigyan CD, Vlinux, BioSLAX were selected and compiled in OSDD-Linux along with packages and webservers developed in Dr. Raghava's Lab. OSDD-Linux provides easy access to users for bioinformatics research work.
