FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs)

GENERAL QUESTIONS

What is the performance of methods available at MHCBench

Answer: You can accesses the performance of tweleve HLA-DRB1*0401 binding peptide prediction methods form here. The methods cover the three most commonly used approaches like motifs, matrices and ANN.

Which performance measure is best

Answer: It is hard to say which one is better because every measure has it's own importance in decsion making. But in our opinion the ROC is a better means of comparing and evaluating the predictictive performance of a method.

THE MHCBENCH SERVER

How can I compare my method

Answer: If you want to use our data sets then download one of the set. Use your method to calculate the score for each peptide. And sumbit the predicted data in this format to the server. You can directly upload a file or you can use the CUT/PASTE option.

Can I use my own data

Answer: Most welcome. You can use your own data, provided that it is in the correct format. You can also keep your set as a reference set at this server for future evaluation.

I want to submit my alogrithm/data to MHCBench

Answer: Yes you can submit your algorithm and data to the server. Since this server is presently available for HLA-DRB1*0401, your efforts will increase it's versatality. Contact us for submissions
