• ASPsiDb is a comprehensive database of Allele specific siRNAs (ASP-siRNAs).

  • siRNAs, which have been fine-tuned for silencing the dominant mutant allele selectively rendering wild type allele expression unimpaired are called ASP-siRNAs.

  • These have been extensively used to target diseased genes implicated in Neurodegenerative disorders, skin disorders, cancer, viral infections, muscular disorders and many more.

  • Currently, database contains a total of 2594 ASP-siRNA entries targeting 62 unique genes from 43 different human diseases.

  • Important fields incorporated are ASP-siRNA sequence, mismatch position, target gene, mutation position, experimental details along with efficacy of ASP-siRNA for both mutant and wild type allele.

  • ASPsiDb would be helpful for siRNA based therapeutics against genetic disorders.
