Genome comparison
On the basis of phylogenomics analysis and 16S rRNA comparison we concluded that strain SJ98 is close to Burkholderia sp. YI23, involved in the isolated as fenitrothion (O,O-dimethyl-O-[p-nitro-m-tolyl]phosphorothioate)-degrading bacterium from a golf course soil and is able to quickly degrade diverse organophosphorus pesticides. So, we have compare the genomes of SJ98 with YI23 and other closely related strains, Burkholderia sp. 1001, Burkholderia sp. 1002 and Burkholderia sp. 1003.
We did both sequence based and function based comparison of all Burkholderia strains.
Given table showing characterization of Burkholderia sp. SJ98, Burkholderia sp. YI23, Burkholderia sp. CCGE 1001, Burkholderia sp. CCGE 1002 and Burkholderia sp. CCGE 1003 genomes.
We did both sequence based and function based comparison of all Burkholderia strains.
