Whole genome of Burkholderia sp. SJ98 was sequenced by Roche's 454 and Illumina's technology.
Roche's 454 GS FLX technology produce a total of 739,460 high-quality single-end reads and 539,992 high-quality paired-end reads in an 8-kb insert library. All the data provide 64.4X coverage of the Burkholderia sp. SJ98 genome.
A total of 41,317,534 paired end reads of 72 nucleotide length (covers ~371 times of 8-Mb genome of Burkholderia sp. SJ98) withan average insert length of 191 nucleotides were obtained by Illumina sequencing technology.
We have used NGS QC Toolkit v2.1 to filter the Illumina data for high-quality (HQ cut off read length for HQ=70%, cutoff quality score=20) and Vector/Adaptor contamination. A total of 31,618,692 HQ vector filtered paired end reads and 3,951,104 single end reads were obtained after filtering.
We have deposited raw sequences (i.e. short reads of both sequencing i.e. Illumina and Roche's 454) to Sequence Read Archive (SRA) with an Accession number SRP022216.
